Craig Headshot

My role at Waterstons is...

I’m Craig Archdeacon, General Manager for APAC at Waterstons, originally from Scotland. I lead strategic growth and operations across the APAC region, focusing on delivering solutions that create genuine business value. As the former Head of Cyber Assurance, I was responsible for driving cyber strategies, leading technical assurance teams, and fostering long-term client partnerships. I’m passionate about business, consulting, and helping clients transform and grow their businesses. Seeing businesses evolve, thrive, and achieve their goals through impactful transformation is what drives me.

I take pride in building high-performing, forward-thinking teams that exceed business objectives. My hands-on, dynamic leadership style inspires innovation and sustainable growth across industries.

My proudest Waterstons moment is...

... is Udder Disaster, an award-winning, multi-national educational game co-created with Sarah Cunningham. Designed to teach essential business skills to board leaders but is also used to teach underprivileged children, it fosters entrepreneurial spirit through fun, interactive scenarios that replicate real-life business events.

Using a farmyard theme to simplify complex business concepts, Udder Disaster helps players navigate challenges while balancing risk management, cyber security, and growth strategies. Initially developed during the Covid-19 lockdown, it’s now used globally to teach resilience and business skills both virtually and in-person.

In addition to this, my charity work includes participating in a Three Peaks Challenge, where we climbed the highest peaks in the UK within 24 hours, raising significant funds for various charities. This experience reflects my commitment to making a meaningful impact both professionally and personally.

My life away from work is...

Outside of work, I remain committed to mental health advocacy, having served as the former Chairperson of a mental health charity. I’m also a public speaker and author of a children's book on cyber security, reflecting my passion for spreading cyber awareness. When I’m not focused on business transformation, I enjoy outdoor activities, martial arts, and spending time with my working cocker spaniel. I also cherish quality time with my girlfriend, sharing a love for adventure and fitness.

I’ll be with you when...

Your business faces complex challenges requiring both technical expertise and strategic insight. Whether strengthening your security posture, navigating compliance, or driving business transformation, I’m here to help. My tailored, hands-on approach ensures your organisation is future-proofed for sustained growth and resilience.

My sector strengths are...

My strengths lie in cyber security, business consulting, risk management, and business resilience across sectors such as government, automotive, and transportation.
